Floods in Nashville
This week Friends of South Africa were helping flood victims with cleanup.
More help is needed for the Naude family. Kobie sent this email out: The Naudes lost their house and most of their possessions in the flood and have been living in a hotel room for the past couple of weeks. Mr. Naude is battling cancer. Many of you may have met Lida at the Christmas party last year (with her daughter Ski), and knows how courageous she has been through all of this.
I have been in contact with Christine Maddela at Channel 2 News and she is coordinating the effort to help the Naude's. A house has been donated and they will move out of the hotel tomorrow.
They need a KING SIZE MATTRESS. Food is taken care of for now, but gift cards and $$$ can be donated and delivered at WKRN Channel 2 news. Make sure you mark it for CHRISTINE MADDELA. I will also collect $ and supplies at the June 6th braai and will send out specifics as to what they need at that time.
